The retreat spent with Monks this past weekend was a rare treat. Believe it or not, I chose the complete silence version and spoke no words, apart from chanting prayers and psalms with the monks.
The pictures show the Monks arriving for one of the seven or so daily prayer and chanting services, which we participated in and me asleep in the garden with statues of the sleeping disciples (getting up at 3:15 AM for prayer and chanting made sleeping later in the day attractive!).
