We leave this afternoon for the Abbey of Gethsemani for a personal, mostly silent retreat with the monks. I'll try to post again on Monday and let you know how it went (the Monks don't have Wi Fi, can you believe it?)

Might as well sell that Ipod Touch then...
I have always wanted to go to the Abbi. One of my employees used to go once a year as a treat to herself. Someday I hope to go. I've read some of Merton's writings and loved him before I even realized he was at an abbey in KY. Thanks for sharing.
