Our son, Will had a exciting afternoon. In the pictures, Will is showing off the general area on concern , while a crack medical team consults. Here's the story. A routine dismount from out kitchen counter top this afternoon ended with a surprise straddle landing on an open cabinet door. Ouch. We ended up in the ER. At first we were told there would be stitches. Then we were told there would be surgery. Will hated all these thoughts (and so did Mom and Dad). Then Prayers were answered. The surgeon's exam was more through and concluded the injury was less troublesome than first thought and could heal on its own. We came home after an hour of paperwork. So Will's first stitches were a no show! (of course they would have been a no show if he had gotten them also!). Note: all the humor is a tribute to Will, between his pain and anxiety he was cracking us up with his sense of humor. What a great kid!
