Yes, I turned 40 on Sunday (4/15/07). I still don't know how it happened. Just yesterday I was 21. I'm beginning to think Einstein's theory of time constantly moving forward is possibly true. I wouldn't share this too freely, there are many folks who still don't know and might even get angry if it's pointed out. Plus, time keeps moving forward even if I'm not ready or don't want it too. This brings me to my second insight. I may not have as much control over the universe and things like time as I previously thought. This is also not to popular when share with those of us not completely ready to accept our limitations (you mean the power structure in the universe is not God, Jesus, the Holy Ghost and me!). See, I'm getting older and wiser. My only consolation is that I get better looking every day. Hard to imagine, isn't it?
The pictures are from a surprise 40th birthday breakfast at my church. Everyone wore black to morn my youth. And my son Will gave me a skull as a gift, because I'm old, like it. Thanks Will.
The Highlight was not my birthday, however, it was a born again birthday! Will, my 7 year old son, was baptized Sunday morning! He has talked with his mother and me several times over the past few months and decided last week to do it Sunday. That was the best birthday gift ever! I hope to have a baptism picture up soon.
